Strawberry launches online PR service

In response to increasing demand for our marketing services, we have appointed an Online PR Manager. Sarah Roustoby took up the role in March 2010, to offer our clients a variety of online and social media PR services. The new Strawberry PR offering is designed to increase traffic and raise the profile of our clients’ websites, through the use of online social networking, blogging and article submission.

Sarah joins Strawberry from a local marketing and PR agency, where she spent almost four years specialising in offline PR techniques for a wide range of local and national clients. Sarah’s previous experience also includes working as an Account Executive for a large printing company and she graduated from the University of Hull in 2005 with a degree in Marketing and Advertising.

Sarah is looking forward to using her existing skills to target and engage with the ever growing online community of social networkers, journalists and bloggers on behalf of Strawberry’s clients, as she explains:

“The PR industry has been forced to evolve over the past year, due to the growing number of people who access their news on the internet via online publications, blogs and social networking sites such as twitter and facebook. A prominent online presence is now just as important as a company’s offline image – especially for organisations with e-commerce websites that rely on high volumes of web traffic.

“Members of the public are creating content on the internet more than ever before and you don’t have to look long before you find a blog or tweet that mentions a product or brand. Businesses cannot afford to ignore the power of social media and it is our aim to help them engage with anybody who may be talking about their brand or industry online.”

Our new PR service forms part of a wider internet marketing department, which seeks to increase visitor traffic to client websites through the use of cost per click advertising and search engine optimisation techniques. Jonathan Leafe, Managing Director for Strawberry concludes: “We are delighted to be expanding our services to include PR and are confident our clients will be excited about our new offering. In fact, we already have several clients signed up and are in the process developing online PR strategies for them. I’m looking forward to developing our PR proposition in the coming months and have some exciting plans for the future.”
