We’ve welcomed a new face to our Digital Marketing team — say hello to Alice Jones!
Tell us a bit about your background…
I’m actually from Bradford in West Yorkshire, and moved here in December so I could buy a house with my partner who’s stationed here (he’s in the army). After school, I went to Sheffield Hallam Uni and did BSc Psychology, then moved back to Bradford where I became Account Manager for a digital marketing agency.
What are your first impressions of Strawberry?
I love it! The office itself is a great environment to work in (I mean, who wouldn’t enjoy a view of The Deep from their desk?) and the team are really friendly — I felt included straight away which was really nice. Strawberry have a massive range of clients who they obviously have a great relationship with, and the standard of work is really high — I’m looking forward to progressing in my career here.
You’ve recently moved to Hull, how are you finding the City of Culture?
I can’t believe how lucky it is that I moved here just as the City of Culture celebrations started. There’s always something going on — I can’t keep up! I’m constantly snapping pictures of the instalments as part of project Look Up e.g. The Blade, and I saw that The Weeping Window was being constructed this morning so I’m looking forward to seeing that when it’s finished.
Have you tried chip spice yet?
No! I kept hearing the Hullensians talking about it and I had to pluck up the courage to ask what on Earth it is the other day. I feel like I’ll have to try it before I’ll be fully accepted as part of the Strawberry crew — like some sort of Hull induction ceremony.
